Clay is used as the main medium for participants to explore their imagination and be in touch with their creative side. In moulding and shaping the clay, the participants will be using their right-brained and externalising their internal images.  It is a fun yet effective method in discovering the creative and innovation among us. Pottery making is a wonderful creative outlet. With pottery you can produce something and express yourself in some way.

Pottery Making increases optimistic outlook. Pottery enables flow and spontaneity, provides an outlet for expression, and helps you with self-identification and self-expression, bolstering confidence and self-esteem.

The process of pottery making improve focus. As you create the pottery, it allows you to focus on the here and now toward your creation, hence  escapes the worries and stresses of life. Pottery making reduces stress. A lot of focus is required while you’re making pottery, therefore outside distractions are reduced and no longer stress you out. At Clay Cove, you will learn hand-building methods such as pinching, coiling, slab-building and hollowing. Hand-building is flexible as it enables us to challenge ourselves in the endless possibilities of shapes and forms with clay as a medium to create unique pottery artworks.
