Summer Holidays 2007 Creative Programmes
Pottery Making Course for 5-12 years old children
Tell your friends about how fun pottery making is! Pottery making
is effective in nurturing any child's ability to create. It is fun and
encourages creative movement among children. Students at Clay Cove enjoy
making their own ice cream bowls, cups, noodle bowls, boxes, pencil
holders, vases, dinosaurs, mermaid, dolphins, photo frames, tea pots and
cups and many more functional ware!
The Basic 4-session Course costs $120 where the
children can learn the pinching method and create 3 ice-cream bowls and the
figurine modeling technique to create 3 figurines. They can then complete
the basic course and progress into the intermediate and advanced levels.
Summer Holidays Schedule (from July – August 2007)
- July 12, 13, 19 &
20 (Thursdays & Fridays, 4 - 5:30pm)
- July 26, 27, Aug 2 &
3 (Thursdays & Fridays, 4 - 5:30pm)
- Aug 1, 15, 22 & 29 (Wednesdays, 4 - 5:30pm)
- Aug 16, 17, 23 or 24 (Thursdays & Fridays, 4 - 5:30pm)
We also conduct regular weekly
classes every Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays during local school term
from 4-5:30pm.
Basic Pottery Making Course commencement date for Sat
/ Sun for 2007 are:
- July 21 or
22, Aug 4 or 5
The time slots are 11am-12:30pm, 1:30-3pm, 3:30-5pm or 5:30-7pm (Sat only)
Toddler Pottery Making Course
Toddlers are naturally curious and enjoy the feeling that clay
gives their little fingers. With clay, they will learn to mould,
shape, knead, roll and flatten clay. These creative movements are
part of their growing up process. At Clay Cove, we’ll nurture
this ability and teach them to create plates where they can tell
imaginative stories!
It’s suitable for
children above 36 months and below 5 years old.
It’ll cost $100 for 4 sessions and
they will learn to create and paint 2 pottery masterpieces!
The Weekday course on a
Wednesday is as follows:-

Parent & Child Bonding Through Pottery
Making
Early childhood research has shown that parental-child
bonding will be stimulated through a visual and tactile activity. Feel the
joy of spending time with your lovely children and enjoy the therapeutic
experience of creating your own masterpieces!
Try out Clay Cove's 2-session pottery making activity
where both parent and child will create, decorate and glaze a cup and
saucer. Pay $140 for one parent and one child to experience 2 wonderful
bonding sessions and a lifetime of memories. Price includes all clay,
glazes, 2-firing process and loan of apron and tools)
