ABOUT CLAY COVE
With a passion for
pottery and working with children, two high-flying management consultants
left the corporate world and founded Clay Cove to specialize in teaching
pottery-making to children.
At Clay Cove, Moni
and Magdalen aspire to promote right-brain creativity development
activities through pottery-making to all children in Singapore. Pottery-making is the
process of transforming clay into ceramics.
The structured
curriculum is fun, interactive and encourages individual creativity and
inter-communication among the students.Through the teachers' facilitation,
the students are guided to learn basic pottery techniques and encouraged to
add on their own designs to personalize their creations. The curriculum
also enhances the younger student's creative movement motor skills such as
rolling, pinching and shaping.
Regular weekend
classes are conducted throughout the year with special thematic programmes
during the school holidays. Students begin with basic lessons and progress
on to intermediate and many advance lessons. After making their own masterpieces,
the children will paint it with their favourite colours. All of our
students have found great joy and increased confidence through
pottery-making.
Apart from lessons at
the studio, Clay Cove also conducts pottery appreciation workshops and lessons
at the venue of your choice. For corporations seeking special corporate
gifts, Clay Cove will work with corporations to design and create that
differentiating gift.
